Movie trailer editor, Amanda of Los Angeles, CA and journalist Iris of Surrey, England live five thousand miles away and have never met, but dealing with the same problem: men. Amanda had just broken with her boyfriend, cheating, Ethan and Iris have pined for his ex, Jasper, becoming engaged to the woman he left her for deciding to take a vacation during Christmas. They arrive on a website called home exchange and trading houses for two weeks at the same time a goal to forget their troubled love life. But love eventually end up anyway. Amanda begins a romance with Iris' elder brother, Graham, publisher of a book and Iris begins a romance with a film composer named Miles. With new found romance, both their lives change forever.
